About Me
My story — who I am and what I value
Everyone has a story. It might be etched in the lines of a father’s proud expression, shining in the eyes of a child, or caught in the smile of a new mother. Sharing those stories is the reason I continue to practice and love photography. It’s such a gift to have a career where you capture momentary expressions of the heart and make them last forever.
My journey into the photographic arts began in high school, when I entered my first darkroom and knew I could never look back. A Graduate of the Applied Photography program from Sheridan College, I’ve been working professionally in the photography industry for many years and I could not imagine doing anything else! I love capturing moments in time and I still feel a thrill of excitement and anticipation with every session.
I have two amazing kids, Edith and Harvey. They are the center of my world. Being a mother has changed me forever. I love Edith and Harvey so much and find everything they do endearing. The wall space in our home is almost gone! I can’t stop photographing them and I can’t believe how much they have changed already.
The image of family has always held a special place in my heart. I love looking through old photo albums and at framed images around the house — they inspire good feelings and remind me of what is truly significant in life. After the loss of my mother this feeling only grew stronger and the need to capture life as we live in it – has become my purpose. I knew I always wanted a profession that allowed me to make a difference in the world and I feel that I’ve found that in photography. Nothing is more precious to me than preserving family memories. The sweet little moments in life are too often forgotten.
