I believe photography should accurately reflect who you and your family are at this stage. I study the qualities of your children that make them so precious allowing for more meaningful and timeless photographs. I believe in creating permanent reminders of what your love feels like, and life looks like – capturing your life’s beauty!

All sessions include:

- A planning consultation, where we prepare for your session and make sure we’ll be capturing the moments most significant to you.

- On location photography usually your home or a place that’s special to you and your family.

- A proofing gallery 2-3 weeks after your shoot (sometimes sooner). I don’t put a limit on the number of proofs you receive, that way you can see and choose from all of the amazing images we captured.

The images you’ll receive will give you lots to choose from so you can combine them in a way that tells your story best. It’s a pleasure to provide my clients with a large gallery of photos, including lovely candid and posed shots as well as an array of individual and group selections. Once you’ve viewed your proofs it’s up to you how you’d like me to present the images you’ve chosen. I offer a wide array of products designed to satisfy your personal style and budget.

Proofs are edited. Prints are fully retouched - what does that mean?

Edited – this means color adjustments, lighting correction, some head switching for large groups, image cropping: Adjustments are made in Lightroom when proofing the images.

Retouched – this means skin softening/clean-up, hair flyaway, liquefying areas, background removal, head switching, and any details that need fixing: Adjustments are made in Photoshop to individual image.

Prints:

Typically most clients request a variety of prints – it’s up to each client how many of each size they would like, I offer a wide variety of sizes to choose from. All prints will be personally retouched, undergoing colour and density correction and other professional touches. Prints 5×7 and larger include the retouched digital copy.

Digital Files – Yes we do that!

Many families today request digital files. I’m please to say that yes, I offer digital versions of your photos! And all prints 5×7 and larger also include the retouched digital copy. I cannot control or guarantee colour or density reproduction for any facility other than Sarah Jean Photography. For final quality, fully retouched, professionally finished prints made to exceptional standards please order from Sarah Jean Photography.
